Kayak fishing pioneer Jim Sammons and his group of friends hook into a five-hour battle with a 300-lb blue marlin that tows a kayaker 11 miles across Mexico's Sea of Cortez in the premier episode of Ocean Kayak presents: The Kayak Fishing Show with Jim Sammons on the World Fishing Network (WFN).
The show premieres Monday, Jan. 11, at 10:30 pm ET on WFN and WFN HD, with new episodes airing every Monday. The show is produced by The Heliconia Press, a leading publisher of books and producer of DVDs on outdoor pursuits. The Kayak Fishing Show marks Heliconia's first foray into the world of TV production.
The Kayak Fishing Show with Jim Sammons represents a fresh new style of fishing show-designed to entertain, inspire, educate, and appeal to viewers whether or not they have ever considered fishing from a kayak. Every episode follows Sammons around North America and beyond on the fishing adventure of a lifetime. In addition to battles with marlin in Baja, the show will follow fishing expeditions for halibut in Alaska, tarpon in Florida, stripers in Chesapeake Bay, muskie in Canada, tuna in Panama and more.
Show times on WFN are: Mondays - 4:30 am, 10:30 pm. Tuesdays - 6:30 am, 2:30 pm. Sundays - 8:30 pm, 4:30 am. EST.
